ELC will make every attempt to open on snow days. ELC centers are known for being open more often than any other daycare center or school in the state of Rhode Island, and will make every safe effort to continue to do so. We understand that it is important for parents not to miss work or have to leave early, and so we will make every effort to live up to our commitment to care for your child through the worst weather possible. However, for the safety of our students and staff, on occasion we may need to delay opening or close in bad weather conditions. School closings will be listed by site name and location by 6:00 a.m. or earlier, on WJAR Channel 10, WPRI Channel 12 and their affiliated websites:

Our parents are also encouraged to sign up up for school closing alerts via e-mail or text messaging at:
No matter what, feel free to call us at 401-294-4900 if you are ever worried about the health or welfare of your child....because we are just as concerned.
If we are unfortunate enough to have to close, due to our need to staff the school and provide the best care possible to our families, a full day of care is charged regardless of absences, holiday, or school closing due to the weather.
